What you’ll be doing…

As the leader in the Verizon GTS – Network Systems organization in Verizon India, you will have full responsibility for the Shared Platforms domain covering both Wireline and Wireless services and supporting Verizon’s Strategic Programs. The role involves building and managing the Platforms and Systems that serve a reusable and common purpose across the organization. You will be responsible for building a highly motivated and talented team, coaching and mentoring them to deliver high quality products and services. You will partner with business units to establish goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision jointly set with Senior Leadership.

  • Building, managing and optimizing the organization’s technology infrastructure in building a common scalable and robust platform as a service.
  • Driving the strategy and execution of building reusable low code products and features for driving faster time to market, to improve developer efficiency and optimize cost
  • Driving the user adoption strategy of the horizontal technology products and capabilities in the organization partnering with the leadership in IT and business.
  • Building a self-organizing high performing team with a product mindset.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies, orchestrate rapid proof of concepts and provide recommendations for adoption.
  • Defining resource capacity plans, staffing and operations; making decisions regarding hiring, promotion and disciplinary actions. Coach, train and motivate the team to achieve subject matter expertise.
  • Building good working relationships with third party partners, suppliers and industry solution providers, and leverage the partnerships to the best advantage of providing business and technological advancements resulting in great customer experience for Verizon Customers.
  • Partnering with business units to establish goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision set by the Senior Leadership.
  • Ensuring that the systems are robust, scalable, reusable, cloud native, and 24/7 availability.
  • Delivering results within budget, time, quality and strategic and tactical key performance goals.

 

What we’re looking for…

 

  • This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, with a deep understanding of technology trends, and the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Strong Experience in ReactJS/AngularJS, React Native, Springboot, PostGresSQL, Redis, AWS, K8S, BPM technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in leading horizontal technology solutions, low-code/no-code capabilities and understands the DNA needed to strategize and execute.
  • Demonstrative experience in collaborating and driving large enterprise scale programs involving cross-functional teams with/without direct reports.
  • Ability to lead from the front in an ambiguous dynamic environment and thrive
  • Very good in storytelling to the leadership, on complex technical concepts aligned with the business needs.

 

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in technology leadership, including solid understanding of technology selection, architecture, and full stack implementation.
  • Six or more years of direct people management experience, including leadership of diverse global teams.
  • Experience in delivering Microservices architecture, digital technologies and platforms, large-scale migration from legacy to directional platforms.
  • Ability to meet timelines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Experience leading senior talent, mentoring and coaching.
  • Industry recognition, patents & papers, participation in standards/ professional bodies
