What you can look forward to doing in this role:

  • Designing and optimizing logistics and manufacturing plans along with targeted processes to meet supply chain demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Managing a team of staff to evaluate and implement production scheduled for nine separate Worktool families.
  • Developing mechanisms and metrics to monitor and forecast costs, savings and performance for targeted transportation modes.
  • Direct reports include Production Supervisors, Quality Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, and a Manufacturing Project Engineer
  • Responsible for meeting the business plan build commitments, managing facility operations, efficiency improvements, and the physical facility layout while providing leadership focused on a safe, inclusive and positive work culture
  • Work with management team to develop/review operational procedures and quality plans to ensure the operation complies with local government requirements.
  • Develop and implements operations changes to reduce costs and/or improve efficiency as new products or demand increases on existing products.
  • Provide direction and guidance for continuous quality improvements, develops and implements operation changes to reduce costs and/or improve efficiency utilizing 6 Sigma methodology and resources.
  • Responsible for all employee related activities of the facility and works with human resources and the management team, when appropriate, to recruit, select, develop and train staff as well as drive to improve Employee Insights ratings for their team.
  • Promote/support day-to-day operational and safety issues with support of the management team.
  • Develop and manage within the annual business plan to meet business unit needs and grow/develop the facility in line with the business unit strategies/vision.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills and have:

  • Extensive experience in Manufacturing Assembly Operations : Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
  • Extensive experience in Inventory Management : Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization’s materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
  • Extensive experience in Project Management : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Extensive experience in Logistics Management : Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

  • ASCM Certification Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) highly desired.
  • Functional Experience in SAP. Material Management Module (MM), specifically, Warehouse Management (WM), Inventory Management (IM)
  • A broad background in all aspects of assembly operations, warehouse operations with previous warehouse management
