A Day in the Life of a CMI Business Intelligence Expert Nutrition Zone Europe

  • Build one source of truth, successfully integrating several datasets: sales, market share, consumer/household panels, marketing investments effectiveness. Contribute to building Advanced Analytics capabilities and promote a measurement culture throughout the organization
  • Execute above market regular reporting based on syndicated data (retail audit, pharmacy/ ecommerce sales data, consumer/household panels) and open sources (ex. birth rates, inflation, etc.), train users on key systems and tools
  • Create new and improved techniques/solutions for data collection, management and usage – including PBI
  • Provide inputs to Regional Business Strategy and support Zone Europe stakeholders with impactful analyses on Categories, Segments, Channels evolution and Market Share dynamics across Europe
  • Interact with the markets in an organized and planned way to compile data and close data gaps for above market analysis, as well as to optimize contracts (costs and services) on all syndicated data
  • Coordinate syndicated data suppliers to guarantee the quality of the processes and analysis
  • Continuously audit and propose new BI tools and solutions to bring further efficiencies, quality and automation to above market reporting systems

What will make you successful

  • 4-5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Governance or Artificial Intelligence preferably gained within FMCG industry, supporting Marketing & Sales functions. Typical areas of experience include Data Science, Statistics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Quantitative Social Sciences
  • Experience with Retail Audit and/or Consumer Panel data at Nestlé or equivalent FMCG or in major research agencies would be an asset.
  • Proven practical experience in building databases and dashboard (PBI or similar)
  • Interested in building new tools & systems to improve quality of the analysis and data visualization
  • Digitally savvy
  • Familiarity with Global Data Aggregators (ex. Nielsen GTC or similar)
  • Structural thinking, developed analytical skills, ability to work with large amounts of data, analyze relationships and convey the good story from the numbers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Team spirit (may co-lead projects with other Nutrition Zone Europe CMI members), sense of Insight Community
  • Appropriate agency management to extract maximum value from suppliers
  • Excellent oral & written English, a second European language would be an asset
