Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing all analytical requests, expectations, and priorities across all initiatives
  • Woks with NOC/NOP Sr Leadership to establish analytical priorities and goals for all groups and initiatives
  • Manages the relationships between all Analytical Leaders and ensures that synergies and best practices are shared among all NOP and NOC Teams
  • Develop metrics, tracking, implementation to ensure more effective decision making across operational departments
  • Work collaboratively with adjacent Network Operations Control, Network Operations Planning, and Operations Strategy & Design groups to understand their analytical needs and communicates them with supporting Analytical Leaders
  • Participates in different analytics meetings (e.g., D0 to D+3 Ops Outlook, Post-Ops, Planning, Day-of meetings/debriefs)
  • Communicates with non-NOP analytical Teams to identify synergies and best practices that can be leveraged from the different SWA analytical groups
  • Presents and shares NOP analytics updates during key SWA meetings / presentations
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and Excel
  • Skilled in visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as think-cell, MS Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • Skilled in team building and consensus-building
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and lead through influence
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high regard for confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and provide direction in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to self-start and work autonomously, with limited and disparate information,
  • within regulatory constraints
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees up to and including executive levels (written, oral, interpersonal)

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field (i.e. Data Science, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent)

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams or functions through subordinate Leaders
  • Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area with understanding of broad business impacts
  • Expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
    • Core airlines business fundamentals
    • SQL, R, Python, and Excel
    • Analytics, data science, or research
    • Designing and conducting analysis, reporting, and synthesizing recommendations across the Operation
    • Leading projects with cross-functional Operations or Commercial teams

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Ability to work extended hours based on operational needs
