Job Description:

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accounting and tracking of capital projects
  • Audit employee expense reports, including review for proper documentation
  • Participate in department overhead reviews for month-end and forecast
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations, as assigned
  • Participate in SOX/ICAP testing and initiate process improvements
  • Participate in year-end closing activities, as assigned
  • Provide accounting support for operations
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with project based accounting
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail with a ‘Big picture” focus and drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently, handling multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong PC skills including advanced MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, Power Query, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience desired
  • Concur experience desired

Education Required

  • BS/BA Accounting Degree

Desired

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Public Accounting or Audit experience
