Scope and Responsibilities:
– Manages strategic supplier relations, to drive value through strategic sourcing decisions and align philosophical business partnership and working model across both companies.- Manages global commodities, setting priorities and ensuring all cost, quality, availability, technology, and sustainability goals are achieved consistently.
– Drives development and implementation of commodity/category strategy initiatives to enable long term business growth.
– Manages contracts, specifications, quality, capacity and HVM support to meet business unit product requirements.
– Creates robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, industry benchmarking, and key trends.
– Drives business impact by influencing senior managers to adopt practices that enable execution with consistency.
– Anticipates business risks and drives mitigating strategies with accuracy, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
– Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and manages the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues.
– Identifies opportunities to adapt policy as required to better enable suppliers to meet business needs.
– Ensures attainment of department goals, supports senior management to establish goals, key performance indicators and development initiatives for the department.
– Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.
– Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling PSG values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:
You should possess at least 15 years of strategic sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in senior level positions. Must have proven record of solving strategic as well as tactical sourcing challenges. Must have experience managing all aspects of strategic sourcing on a global scale.
Additional Qualifications include:
– Reputation as a leader that can set a clear vision for the strategic sourcing team to achieve organizational goals based on understanding of company’s mission and objectives.
– Experience working with business leaders, suppliers, and partners in navigating materials, capacity, and resource issues by recommending realistic solutions which enable the organization to maintain progress towards strategic growth objectives.
– A global mindset and demonstrated experience advising on international strategies related to suppliers and manufacturing partners.
– Skilled in making tough sourcing decisions promptly, weighing risks and benefits in consultation with business leaders.
– Experience building and leading high-performing global teams. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and developing sourcing professionals to ensure the department’s success.
– Promotes an inclusive and diverse team that reflects the organization’s commitment to equity and fairness.
