Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and implementation of HR data analytics solutions in response to Manufacturing Operations problems/demands.
  • Liaison to HR Service Delivery COEs to problem solve employee issues.
  • Manage site-specific transactions such as reporting, grievance tracking and data audits.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. Strong partner to the HR managers and Union relations leader.
  • Handle data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
  • Partner with the site HR leaders to manage HR data and analytics and look to leverage LEAN tools to improve those processes.
  • Support the leave process and partner with the benefits focals/disability team to track key metrics and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with conducting investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence.
  • Provide employees and managers with an available point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to HR Business Partners; navigates employees and manager to HR Shared Services when it is the more appropriate resource

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Human Resources)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience cleaning, manipulating, and transforming complex datasets from multiple sources using tools such as R, Python, or an equivalent language.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and processes.
  • Awareness and/or experience using lean tools in transactional work.
  • Experience working with in a manufacturing/operation environment.
  • Experience working with labor unions.
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Desires employee-facing work; willingness to make horizontal moves to develop HR expertise.
  • Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness.
  • Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment; ability to diffuse a tense situation.
  • Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources.
