Job Description:

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, Instrumentation, electrical, and rotating equipment.
  • Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration within a timely manner, submits appropriate reports.
  • Applying knowledge and experience with precision tools such as micrometers, feeler gages, torque wrench, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, etc.
  • Leading or performing overhaul of compressors, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing and startup
  • Complete pump tear down/rebuild inspections and new pump installations.
  • Working with Pipeline Integrity and Reliability group for new technologies around rotating equipment.
  • Minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintaining mechanical skills by attending training sessions and on-the-job training.
  • Disassembling equipment, recording as-found and as-left measurements, clearances, and/or tolerances and reassembling machinery.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems with terminal and field units.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing minor electrical control circuits.
  • Responding to emergencies and participate in emergency response.
  • Participating in Safety Action Plans.
  • Completing and maintaining required operations and safety/regulatory training (CBT), including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks.
  • Pursuing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Reading and understanding pump curves.
  • Reading and understanding P&ID’s, mechanical and wiring diagrams.
  • Performing work on air pollution control equipment.
  • Providing support to Quality Assurance\Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • 4 or more years of Instrumentation and/or Electrical experience in relevant Industry (Midstream, Pipelines or Terminals)
  • To travel up to 40% of the time
  • Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
  • To climb up to 50 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders
  • To lift up to 45 pounds, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
  • To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time
  • To sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands
  • To work overtime on an as-needed basis
  • To respond to emergency calls as needed
  • To work a rotating call-out schedule
  • To work alone a high percentage of the time
  • To work outside in harsh weather conditions
  • To work with chemicals and bases
  • To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
  • To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Mechanical
  • 4 or more years of Military experience
  • 4 or more years of experience working with any of the following:
  • Electrical power and components
  • Digital and analog circuitry
  • One-line drawings and schematics
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Rosemount Transmitters
  • OMNI flow computer
  • Mechanical and rotating equipment
