Job Description:
Responsibilities May Include:
- Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, Instrumentation, electrical, and rotating equipment.
- Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration within a timely manner, submits appropriate reports.
- Applying knowledge and experience with precision tools such as micrometers, feeler gages, torque wrench, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, etc.
- Leading or performing overhaul of compressors, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing and startup
- Complete pump tear down/rebuild inspections and new pump installations.
- Working with Pipeline Integrity and Reliability group for new technologies around rotating equipment.
- Minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintaining mechanical skills by attending training sessions and on-the-job training.
- Disassembling equipment, recording as-found and as-left measurements, clearances, and/or tolerances and reassembling machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems with terminal and field units.
- Troubleshooting and repairing minor electrical control circuits.
- Responding to emergencies and participate in emergency response.
- Participating in Safety Action Plans.
- Completing and maintaining required operations and safety/regulatory training (CBT), including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks.
- Pursuing cost reduction opportunities.
- Reading and understanding pump curves.
- Reading and understanding P&ID’s, mechanical and wiring diagrams.
- Performing work on air pollution control equipment.
- Providing support to Quality Assurance\Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- 4 or more years of Instrumentation and/or Electrical experience in relevant Industry (Midstream, Pipelines or Terminals)
- To travel up to 40% of the time
- Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- To climb up to 50 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders
- To lift up to 45 pounds, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
- To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time
- To sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands
- To work overtime on an as-needed basis
- To respond to emergency calls as needed
- To work a rotating call-out schedule
- To work alone a high percentage of the time
- To work outside in harsh weather conditions
- To work with chemicals and bases
- To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
- To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Mechanical
- 4 or more years of Military experience
- 4 or more years of experience working with any of the following:
- Electrical power and components
- Digital and analog circuitry
- One-line drawings and schematics
- Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Rosemount Transmitters
- OMNI flow computer
- Mechanical and rotating equipment
