Job Duties

  • Develops detailed risk evaluation reports that communicate the risk characteristics, the overall condition of the risk, the measures in place in the organization to mitigate risks, and recommended measures implemented to manage risk
  • Applies engineering risk assessment principles toward integrated, data-driven, and quantified safety, Integrity and reliability assessments
  • In-depth understanding of project management and development lifecycle requirements through design, construction, and maintenance of Pipeline Systems
  • Analyzes risk (for probability and consequences) using qualitative and quantitative methods and identify Risk reduction opportunities
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment principles, concepts, processes and procedures
  • Researches field events and building predictive models, analysis methods and other statistical tools
  • Evaluates technology and leading efforts to integrate internal and external data sources, improve efficiencies, and establish meaningful KPI’s
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in both the products and engineering processes used for data collection, data management, analysis and reporting
  • Produces regular detailed reporting, implementing and/or optimizing presentations to clearly explain the performance of current risk management strategies, and suggest improvements to business processes and procedures
  • Provides training on company Risk Analysis and Risk Management processes and procedures
  • Provides input to new construction and acquisition/divestiture due diligence efforts
  • Stay current with pipeline regulations, industry standards, and Risk assessment methods
  • Ensures technical documentation is created as appropriate

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of eight years’ experience in the oil and gas industry is required, preferably within the Mid-stream pipeline operating industry. Demonstrated analytical capability in previous positions. Applies engineering risk assessment principles toward integrated, data-driven, and quantified safety, Integrity and reliability assessments.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in regulatory and inspection requirements associated with Pipelines, pipeline facilities including terminal assets and pump stations and tanks. Experience should include aspects of design, construction, repairs, inspection, and operations of Liquid and Gas pipeline systems. Experience in the use of Risk Analysis models/applications and data management systems. Hands-on experience in defining, implementing and auditing enterprise-wide Risk management systems
