RESPONSIBILITIES

– Monitor all operational day-to-day activities pertaining to warehouse, manufacturing, service to division and address/resolve all issues that arise
– Collaborate with division/store leadership on initiatives/projects to improve cost, quality and service and resolve operational issues
– Identify learnings from initiatives/projects and utilize continuous improvement methodologies/tools to drive service enhancement and cost savings
– Monitor, forecast, manage and report operational expenses compared to budgets and prior years to Supply Chain leadership
– Strategize with division/store leadership on plans for holidays, special events and store emergency response
– Engage with division leadership and respective account manager for the area to support marketing and sales initiatives
– Drive the safety culture and collaborate with 3PL management to continuously improve safety performance
– Develop, monitor and ensure delivery of key performance indicators (KPI s) including cost management and store services, 3PL DC Operations and Transportation
– Collaborate with 3PL management to develop and implement the operational & capital budgets, providing for needs including technology, facilities, and equipment
– Provide guidance, vision, and expectations in distribution and supply chain initiatives to 3PL management, retail division, and suppliers
– Understand total distribution and store operations, with an emphasis on vendor supply chain programs to provide excellent customer service and lower cost of product
– Coordinate operational excellence between 3PL site management and 3PL transportation management
– Travel as needed for stakeholder interests
– Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
– Bachelor’s Degree business or equivalent combination of education and experience
– 5+ years operational leadership experience in distribution or manufacturing with exposure to P&L
– Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers
– Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important and appreciated
– Ability to identify business problems and develop efficient and effective solutions
– Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs
– Strong follow-up and accountability skills

Desired
– 10+ years of experience in distribution or manufacturing
