Job Description:
Responsibilities May Include:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
- Performs overhaul of compressors and engines\engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
- Ensuring the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines
- Complying with company policies, procedures and directives
- Performing work on air pollution control equipment
- Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests
- Driving a company owned vehicle within assigned area
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems
- Ability to provides Quality Assurance\Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location
- Maintain all required operations and safety training including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks
- Willing and able perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, with the following:
- Climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 20 feet in height on platforms and catwalks to perform maintenance on equipment as part of this position
- Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds
- Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
- Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime on an as-needed basis
- Willing and able to work a rotating call-out schedule
- Work outside in harsh weather conditions
- Work alone a high percentage of the time
- Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry
- 3 or more years direct experience with reading schematics, manuals and drawings
- 1 or more years of direct experience conducting pipeline integrity tool runs
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and available maintenance programs
- A sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety
