Role Duties and Requirements:

  • We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, and technically savvy product leader who can drive a mobile connectivity service vision, build, and execute the roadmap to deliver product and service while being customer obsessed. As a principal product manager, you will have an enormous opportunity to drive the customer experience, product design, pricing & GTM strategy to deliver an innovative solution to our customers.
  • As a seasoned product leader, you are laser-focused on customer journey & experiences, you will drive initiatives from all aspects to make sure the solution is delivered to the market on time, on budget, and with great quality.  The candidate should be comfortable in an ambiguous environment, not afraid to voice their opinion, and seek alignment with the team.  The candidate needs to be a fast learner, have a passion for innovation, again, someone who is always putting the customer first.
  • In this role, you will help design and product manage HP’s Commercial PC mobility experiences.   This will require you to have unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques in the Telecom and Wireless Mobile Broadband industries. You will contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. You will successfully operate in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful.
  • You will be expected to provide highly innovative solutions and lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. You may participate in cross-division, multi-function teams and provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
  • You will routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives. You will act as a functional manager within your area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Have and maintain a strong knowledge of trends in the industry and affect the strategy/direction of the product line/line of services or solutions.
  • Drive the definition of a product/ service/solution through R&D and solutions teams.
  • Suggest strategy changes internally and with external partners.
  • Lead strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals.
  • Lead projects that involve cross- functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/ solutions.
  • Seen by sales team as an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners.
  • Assist with market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the telecom industry, ensuring the product remains competitive and innovative.
  • Present products & concepts to customers for feedback generation and drive fast change to improve customers satisfaction

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • MBA or MS in marketing/Business/Technology, Colleague in engineering is a plus.
  • 15+ years of product management and marketing experience, demonstrating a successful track record in launching and managing products through their life cycles.
  • 7+ years’ experience with the mobile broadband industry, Mobile Network Operators, wholesale Mobile Data sales, and Wireless network operation product management
  • Relevant experience with mobile client devices and Windows PC mobile broadband technologies.
  • Relevant experience working with MNOs and MVNOs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap, strategy and definition
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering and UI/UX design discussion around technology and user experience decision.
  • Experience in technical product management
