Job Description:


  • Define a forward-looking product strategy that aligns with industry trends, technology advancements and customer needs.
  • Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
  • Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder’s needs.
  • Provide strategic guidance to junior product managers and the product team, fostering innovation and a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborates with the hardware and software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.
  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.
  • Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.
  • Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Mastery of complex hardware and software systems.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical audiences, to convey critical information and processes in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Product development leadership experience, including demonstrated examples of management through influence and collaboration in a complex, multi-cultural global environment, building a culture of accountability.
  • Strong leadership and innovation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and innovation skills.
  • Preferred: Strong subject matter expertise in Unified Communications and Collaboration, video systems, audio systems and related topics.

Scope & Impact

  • Partners with sales, customer success, and support teams to define business requirements, product design, deployment, and adoption plans.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and advises various internal, partner, and customer teams on the needs and requirements of target markets.
  • Provides guidance for junior team members.
  • Oversees the overall quality of work of the product management team.
  • Ability to make key decisions with regard to products that may have organizational impacts for multiple years.


  • High: Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational senior management interface; deals with complex strategic issues.
  • Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in HP’s most complex disciplines.
  • Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
